Our Legionella Services



Legionnaires' disease is caused by legionella bacteria. It is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia and most people are susceptible to infection. Outbreaks of the illness occur from exposure to a bacteria which is found growing in purpose-built systems where water is maintained at a temperature that encourages growth.



What do you need to do?

Under the HSE guidelines, if you are an employer, self-employed or a person/company in charge of premises, you are responsible for ensuring that all risks , including the risk of legionella being in your water system is properly assessed and controlled. This requires a properties water system has a Legionella risk assessment carried out to identify potential risks and outline ways to control that risk.
